Epithalon

Overview
Epithalon is a synthetic peptide that is made up of four amino acids, abbreviated as AEDG peptide or Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. The peptide itself has been speculated to act in a similar manner to Epithalamin through various mechanistic pathways. The related human peptide preparation, epithalamin, which contained Epithalon was said to increase average lifespan of the studied animals by 11–31%, and may reduce actual length of life by 52%, in respect to murine models. This putative mechanism and future research are addressed later in this article.
